Tax Tips: (from IRS Publication 502)
Weight Loss Program: A Weight Loss Program that is a treatment for a specific disease diagnosed by a physician (such as obesity, hypertension, or heart disease) qualifies as a deductible Medical Expense.
Stop Smoking Program: You can include in Medical Expenses amounts you pay for a program to stop smoking.
Pain Management Therapy feedback:
- Client pain rating before session (on a scale of 1 to 10, 0 - no pain, 10 - extreme): 5
- Client pain rating after session: 'maybe a 1'.
- Question on how they felt after the session: 'Like I had a good nap, refreshed'.
- Question on what they learned from the session: 'That they can work on pain themselves and reduce the pain'.
